About the Show

What if you could go back to the moment it all began? J.J. and Susie built a life, a marriage, a history, but somewhere along the way, they’ve lost the thread. When J.J. stumbles back to 1999 through a magical portal, watching his younger self fall head-over-heels for his wife, he decides that the kindest thing he can do for Susie is make sure it never happens at all. Featuring the music of No Doubt, Ricky Martin, Smash Mouth, Gin Blossoms and many more, Follow You Down is a jukebox musical comedy about love, second chances and the songs that live inside us forever.

This Production is in association with Lively McCabe Entertainment & Primary Wave Music

The 2nd Sunday matinee of the run will be a mask required performance. Please bring a mask or one will be provided to you.

Jeremy Desmon, Playwright

Jeremy Desmon is an award-winning writer whose stories have played throughout the world. THE GIRL IN THE FRAME earned him the Edward Kleban Prize and PUMP UP THE VOLUME, his rock musical based on the 1990 Christian Slater film, was produced at Los Angeles’s Hudson Theatre in June, 2025. THE LAST SUPPER, his darkly comic, politically-charged new musical recently completed its out-of-town run starring Tony Award-winner Alex Newell. Other credits include the Goodspeed Musicals “revisal” of GOOD NEWS, THE OLIVER EXPERIMENT, THE LADIES QUICK: FAMILY IS MURDER, ONE HIT WONDER, THE KARAOKE KILLERETTES and two brand-new holiday extravaganzas, now available for licensing: THE DREIDEL PLAYERS PRESENT: BEST HANUKKAH SHOW EVER and the Christmas jukebox musical comedy, THE SANTA SWITCH. Additionally, Mr. Desmon has written countless touring spectacles, theme park extravaganzas and ice shows for the under-five set, featuring every Paw Patrol pup, Disney Princess, big-eared mouse, Baby Shark, furry red monster, curious monkey and magical little pony you can imagine — not to mention multiple editions of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. For high school and middle school audiences, he’s known for his modern, imaginative comedies, including CYRANO DE BURGERSHACK, ANDIE FOWLER’S BIG-TIME BUCKET LIST, HOW TO WRITE A PLAY (IN 11 EASY STEPS), WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT YOUR KID and two sixty-minute, whirlwind farces: AMERICAN HISTORY (IN 60) and THE BIBLE (IN 60). Jeremy is an alum of Stanford University, holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is in his nineteenth year teaching a Musical Theatre Writing workshop at Princeton University. He resides in Manhattan with his wife and five-year-old nugget, Anderson. They live down the street from that Starbucks.
