Winter/Spring 2022 Season Start Date Update

Dear friends, patrons, and supporters of NextStop Theatre,

Throughout this pandemic, we at NextStop have been unwavering in our commitment to placing the health and safety of our community before all else. Over the past two years, this has resulted in several changes to our plans, programs, and productions. As we face the challenges and repercussions of the new omicron variant (and the resulting surge of cases in our community), NextStop has decided that we must once again modify our plans. As a result, we will be postponing the start of our recently announced Winter/Spring 2022 season in order to help protect the health and safety of our staff, artists, and patrons.

This postponement will cause two significant changes to our previously announced productions. “Every Brilliant Thing,” previously scheduled to run from January 21st to February 13th, will now open on February 18th and run until March 13th. Our second planned production of “The Legend of Georgia McBride,” will be postponed until the late summer, opening on August 26, 2022, and will now serve as the first production of our 2022/2023 season. Currently, it is our hope and expectation to proceed with our productions of “Nat Turner in Jerusalem,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and “Lucky Stiff” as previously announced and scheduled.

All patrons with season packages for the Winter/Spring 2022 season will be contacted by our box office to assist them in selecting new dates for “Every Brilliant Thing” and “The Legend of Georgia McBride.” Patrons who have purchased individual tickets to one or both of the rescheduled productions will be contacted by the box office and provided with easy options to reschedule their tickets or receive a complete refund.

As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through and respond to the circumstances before us. We hope that you and those you love remain safe and healthy in these challenging and unpredictable times!

Sincerely,

Evan Hoffmann, Producing Artistic Director

Vicki Kile, Executive Director
