About the Artists

Cara Bachman is thrilled to be performing with NextStop for the first time! Recent credits include: Next To Normal (The Keegan Theater), Punk Rock (Ithaca College), As You Like It (Ithaca College)and Les Miserables (The Reston Players). She is currently studying to earn her B.F.A in Musical Theater at Ithaca College. 

Elijah King is a recent graduate of Fairfax High School and the Fairfax Academy for Musical Theatre and Dance. Some of his favorite theatre credits include: Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer (FX Players) and Bill in Love/Sick (FX Players w/ John Cariani). He can also be seen as Adam in Season 1, Episode 4 of I Was Possessed on Lifetime Movie Network. In the fall he will be attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for a BFA in Musical Theatre. He sends a HUGE thanks to his mentors (Jim Van Slyke) and his friends and family.

Cierra Marco is thrilled to be back at Next Stop! A long time student of Jim VanSlyke’s, Cierra has performed at the Kennedy Center, the White House, and at venues big and small throughout DC, New York, Virginia, and Massachusetts. She is the 2015 Washington DC Cappie Winner for leading actress in a musical, the recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters Musical Theatre Merit Award, and a former winner of the Loudoun YouthFest Soloist Competition.  Performing since the age of 7, favorite roles include Annie in Annie, Monteen in Parade, and Wednesday Addams in The Addmas Family. Cierra is a 2016 graduate of Heritage HS in Leesburg, VA.  This fall she is headed to Boston to begin her pursuit of BFA in musical theater at The Boston Conservatory.

Ethan Van Slyke, a NextStop veteran, returns for his second appearance in Broadway Babies and 4th production at NextStop Theatre where he has played Colin in The Secret Garden and Snoopy in A Charlie Brown Christmas.  Recently Ethan played the role of Young Josh in The Summer Grand’s production of Big the musical and his portrayal of Noah Gellman in Creative Cauldron’s production of Caroline or Change received critical acclaim. Other DC area Credits include Arena Stage’s Oliver! (Fagin’s Gang/Oliver US); RCP Les Misérables (Gavroche, WATCH Award nominee); Other favorite roles include: Bugsy Malone (Bugsy Malone) Moonface Martin (Anything Goes), Randolph McAfee (Bye Bye Birdie), Peter Pan (Peter Pan) Oliver (Oliver), Chip (Beauty and the Beast). Ethan is a rising freshman at Freedom High School (south riding VA)!
