10 Ways We Are Reaching the NextStop

  1. Guest Services. In September, look for a renovated lobby, improved beverage service, a more user-friendly website and ticketing system, and call center support so you can reach a live person by phone for ticket sales any day of the week. We are dedicated to making your visits to NextStop your favorite theatre-going experience.
  2. Education.  We will be introducing brand new programming to provide fun and engaging learning opportunities for young people in our community, including a summer theatre camp program beginning in 2014!
  3. Cabarets.  Also arriving in Summer 2014 will be an exciting new series of intimate concerts and cabarets at the Industrial Strength Theatre.  Spend a hot summer night with a glass of wine and the best singers from Herndon, DC, and beyond.  Featuring an eclectic mixture of jazz, easy listening, musical theatre classics, and so much more!
  4. New Works.  The next Broadway hit could premiere right here in Herndon.  We will conduct special workshops and staged readings of never before seen plays and musicals from the most talented writers from DC and beyond.
  5. NextStop Family.  After twenty years of being one of the only theatres in the region producing theatre for young audiences, “NextStop Family” productions will further raise the bar on live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy together. Look for bigger and better sets, costumes, and some of the best actors and directors around!
  6. New Faces and Old Favorites.  We will bring you a mixture of the familiar faces that you have come to recognize in our shows, as well as introduce you to many more of the finest artists from around the capital region.  We will even welcome home some “long lost” friends.
  7. Bold Work.  We will carry on our long tradition of striving to produce the most provocative, challenging and entertaining work anywhere.  Next season will feature two regional premières, we will produce two full scale productions in rotating repertory, and collaborate with some of the best minds at Gallaudet University on a new interpretation of Shakespeare’s Richard III like you have never seen before!
  8. Performance Options.  With longer runs, more performances each week, and new opportunities for ticket savings, we hope to make sure nobody ever has to miss the show!
  9. Investing in Artists.  For the past twenty-five years, the Elden Street Players has been blessed to host some of the finest actors, directors, designers, and technicians around.  Every single one of them was a volunteer.  As NextStop, we will begin to provide financial compensation for the exceptional artists that make the magic of theatre come alive night after night.
  10. Community Development.  We truly believe that Herndon and the wider Dulles Corridor hold the key to the future of the DC Metropolitan region.  We hope to be a guiding force in creating a boldest and brightest future possible.
