NextStop is currently accepting applications for a Marketing and Development Project Intern. The internship runs from May 21 – August 8.
The Marketing and Development Intern will plan and execute 3 of NextStop’s summer campaigns, including a brand awareness campaign, a renewal campaign, and an upgrade campaign for NextStop’s 2018/19 Season. This project internship requires significant direct patron contact working at theatre performances and festivals, plus office-work to plan, execute, and support the campaigns.
Undergraduate or Graduate student in a theatre, arts administration, business, or related course of study with a strong passion for the performing arts; comfortable working in a patron database, demonstrated strong writing and sales skills, with the ability to work well independently to achieve specific self-set measured outcomes.
Interns will be required to work outdoors for up to 6 days of the internship, setting up and manning a trade show exhibit in Summer weather, requiring brief climbing of step-stools and occasional lifting of brochure boxes weighing up to 15 pounds.
Experience working as a marketing or sales representative, authoring marketing pieces/copy, familiarity with Excel/Word mail merging and/or bulk mail fulfillment, experience working within individual giving for nonprofits. Experience creating and executing a marketing campaign.
The candidate must be available to work a flexible shift in the daytime Monday-Friday during the internship; Thursday-Sunday Evening performances May 21-June 20 and August 2nd-August 5; and have full daytime and evening availability for festivals May 31-June 3 and June 15-16.
The Marketing and Development intern selected will be paid a limited stipend at the completion of the internship.
